How to play TowerSnap
TowerSnap is a one-tap stacking game: a block slides across the top of your tower, you tap once to drop it, and the tower grows taller with every block you land. The whole challenge lives in the timing of that single tap — land it perfectly centred for a SNAP, and keep snapping to build the tallest tower you can.
How a run works
A block glides across the top of your tower. One tap anywhere on the screen drops it, and whatever you land stays part of the tower for good. That is the whole control scheme: one finger, one tap, nothing to drag and no buttons to learn.
Land a block and the next one arrives over a taller tower, so the timing gets tighter as you climb. A run ends the moment a block misses completely, and your score is fixed at the height you reached.
What a SNAP is
A SNAP is a placement that lands perfectly centred on the block below it. SNAPs are the heart of TowerSnap: they take nothing off your tower, they score the most points, and they pay bonus coins on top of your score.
Land SNAPs back to back and your streak climbs. Every fifth consecutive SNAP is a milestone — ×5, ×10, ×15 and beyond — with its own sound, glow and screen effect. A long SNAP streak is how tall towers get built, because a clean stack stays wide and forgiving while a sloppy one narrows block by block.
Scoring and coins
Your score grows with the tower, and every SNAP adds extra on top of the block you placed. Coins are earned in each run from the height you reached and the SNAPs you landed, and are spent in the shop on cosmetic themes that change how your tower, blocks and background look.
Cosmetics are visual only. They never change timing, block size or scoring, so a run plays exactly the same whatever you have equipped.
The Daily Challenge and the leaderboard
Every day TowerSnap sets one Daily Challenge — a goal for that day’s runs, shown on the home screen. Complete it and you collect a coin reward, once per day.
Your best run of the day also goes on the daily leaderboard, so you can see how you compare with everyone else playing that day.
Challenging a friend
When a run ends you can turn your score into a challenge link. Anyone who opens that link plays a normal run with your score as the target, and no account is needed to try it.
Beat the target and the result screen says so and offers a link back, so a challenge can go back and forth for as long as you both keep playing.
Where your progress lives
Best score, coins, cosmetics, statistics and your daily streak are saved on your device as you play, and the game plays the same offline. Create an account and your progress is backed up to it, so a new phone or a fresh browser picks up where you left off.
The Statistics screen keeps the running totals: games played, blocks stacked, total SNAPs, your highest SNAP streak, coins earned and your challenge record.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to play TowerSnap?
No. TowerSnap plays instantly in your browser and saves your progress on your device. An account is only useful if you want that progress backed up, so you can carry it to another phone or browser.
What exactly counts as a SNAP?
A SNAP is a placement that lands perfectly centred on the block below. It takes nothing off your tower, scores the most points, and pays bonus coins on top of your score.
How do I earn coins?
Coins are earned in every run from the height you reach and the SNAPs you land, plus the Daily Challenge reward. They are spent on cosmetic themes in the shop.
Does TowerSnap get harder as you climb?
Yes. The higher your tower, the tighter the timing on each drop, and a run ends as soon as one block misses completely. The first blocks are deliberately forgiving.
How does the Daily Challenge work?
One goal is set each day and shown on the home screen. Complete it to collect a coin reward, once per day, and your best run that day goes on the daily leaderboard.
Can I compete with a friend without an account?
Yes. A challenge link carries the score to beat, and anyone who opens it plays a normal run and sees whether they beat it, then can send a link straight back.
